How wonderful! Just 3 easy steps?
Oh, please, merciful God, I have suffered enough – let it be fast and painless, please!
I’m tired of the yo-yo cycle: lose-gain, lose-gain, lose-gain. Never getting any lasting results and feeling like a failure.
It’s information overload out there. So much conflicting advice – if only someone could tell me exactly what to do. That would sure take a load off. Something simple and step by step.
When I see those before and after pictures, I always long to know the specifics of what they did. What exact steps did they take? What diet did they follow? What exercise program? What exactly did they do that worked?
The hard truth (you know it already) is that there is no “just 3 easy steps” formula that works for everyone. I care about you too much to perpetuate lies like that. We are all different. What worked for them may not work for you.
The approach you take to your weight loss is dependent on a lot of things that are part of who you are as a unique individual. And you deserve to be considered, valued and treated right.
Your weight difficulty may have its roots in a physical problem, or it could be that you are an emotional eater, or perhaps you have a chemical dependency that’s working against you – addiction to food is a real thing! It might be a combination of things. The underlying problem is what needs to be addressed, so your approach to weight loss will vary depending on the cause.
Then there is your temperament, likes and dislikes, belief systems, your lifestyle and other commitments, which determine how much time and money you have at your disposal. Lots of factors. That is why there is no one simple formula that will work for everyone.
And that is why you don’t want to get sucked into the nasty lies the weight loss industry spins.
You need to find the right strategy for you. It’s not just about diets and exercise programs. You’ve got to factor in the mental game. And what about the lies have you been telling yourself? Do you tell yourself you’re a failure, a loser, hopeless? That’s not true and it’s not helping!
If you can’t master the mental game then you will either (a) make little progress or (b) not be able to make it stick.
And isn’t that where you have been?
Why not take a new path that starts by honouring your true self.
